The castle, from the top of the town, dominates the famous UNESCO heritage vineyards
Ancient noble residences and castles that for years defended prestigious territory.
The small village of Serralunga is built around its castle which rises at the top of the hill.
The imposing medieval castle dominates the surrounding landscape and its characteristic profile draws the eye from afar.
For many centuries the castle has controlled the territory that surrounds it and has observed and protected the work of people in the vineyards.
The orderly and luxuriant vineyards, from which Barolo wine is born, create the unmistakable landscape that UNESCO, in 2014, includes in its list of world heritage list.
To experience the prestigious wines that are born from these beautiful vineyards, visit the numerous wineries and wine bars of Serralunga d’Alba but do not forget the first rate restaurants where you can taste the excellent food and wine combinations of the Langhe
Just in front of Serralunga, at the top of another hill, is Castiglione Falletto and its castle with its characteristic round tower.
Here too, vineyards surround the village and the area is dotted with wineries that produce excellent Barolo wines.
